We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Controller to join our team in the Healthcare/Medical Group practice, based in El Paso, Texas. This role is critical in managing all financial activities within our organization, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and negotiations. As a Controller, you will be instrumental in providing strategic direction in financial data aggregation, reporting, and dissemination.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general accounting and business office, ensuring all processes are in line with established accounting principles and industry best practices.

• Assist in providing strategic direction in financial data aggregation, reporting, and dissemination.

• Assist in the development of long and short-range group operations plans, including service demand analyses, resource availability analyses, and cost-benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions.

• Develop operational and capital budgets in alignment with the clinic’s long and short-range plans and objectives.

• Prepare financial statements including Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and balance sheet as well as P& L and/or Pro-Forma statements for relevant operations and investments. Ensure proper dissemination of all relevant financial reports to appropriate audiences with proper management notes and discussion items.

• Provide standards for all budgeting as required and assist managers in the development of departmental budgets. Oversee budget preparation and reporting/monitoring.

• Monitor, interpret, and analyze clinic’s financial performance to realize established plans and objectives of the clinic.

• Identify and report undesirable trends and potential business opportunities and make recommendations for action.

• Ensure timely submission of all financial data associated reports required by government, financial institutions, and other regulated agencies.

• Collaborate with leadership and external CPAs to develop appropriate tax strategies for the group.

• Work closely with HR to ensure payroll accuracy and coordinate on employee benefit programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role within the Healthcare - CPA highly preferred

• Deep understanding of the HealthCare Industry and its financial nuances is a must

• Experience with HealthCare Billing procedures and regulations

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and QuickBooks Enterprise

• Extensive experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven track record in conducting Auditing and managing Budget Processes

• Ability to Analyze Financial Statements and prepare Financial Statement Preparation
