Major/Essential Functions:
Teaches graduate students in Biomedical Sciences and the post-baccalaureate certificate program
Develops new curricular materials
Serves as course director
Builds and sustains an independent, externally-funded research program
Embraces the vision of the FGSBS and interacts with other members of the Institution in a collegial, team-oriented fashion
Mentors graduate students, post-graduate trainees, and medical students in research
Serves the academic community through participations in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
Ensures compliance with all applicable institutional, state, and federal policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to teaching and research
Demonstrates professionalism
Adheres to all institutional and FGSBS policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D., or an equivalent degree in the field of biomedical sciences
• A minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral biomedical research experience, or research experience in a related area
• Experience in teaching in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, or other area related to biomedical sciences
• Experience in biomedical and/or translational research
• Record of peer-reviewed publications in the area of expertise
• Record of accomplishment in basic, translational, or clinical cancer research
