Major/Essential Functions:
Provides inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services to include neuromuscular or clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic, and provides consultation services in the affiliated hospitals
Provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals
Diagnose and treat general adult neurological patients, to include interpreting diagnostic tests, such as EEGs/EMGs, and treatment of a variety of peripheral nerve and muscle disorders.
Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for the teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures
Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Successful completion of fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology from an accredited program in the United States
Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
Experience in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology
Board certification in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Required Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
M.D. or D.O. degree
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program
Texas Medical License, or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
Board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
