Eaton Corporation 2nd shift Cycle Counter in El Paso, Texas
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a 2nd shift Cycle Counter. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm - 12:15 am. The rate for this position is $17.68 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you’ll do:
The warehouse cycle counter is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts of stock items. The cycle counter will follow written and oral instructions and adhere to all company policies and procedures including good housekeeping.
Essential Functions:
• Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items to verify stock levels against inventory records.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records in ERP system. Research all workable solutions to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future errors.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by using a variety of techniques including, but not limited to, counting, consolidating, and sorting.
• Assist in conducting full inventory audits as needed.
• Work closely with materials and all departments to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
• Identify any misplaced, damaged, or defective material in warehouse and communicate problem areas or parts shortages to Finance and Supply Chain departments to determine root cause.
• Use various tools such as an RF Scanner, Laptop, and a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks
• Capable of managing multiple tasks without losing efficiency or productivity
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
• Perform other functions and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Certified to operate powered industrial equipment (i.e. forklift, reach truck, order picker).
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment driving reach truck and or order/cherry picker.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Active-duty military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• AS400 WMS experience.
• Inventory Experience
• 2+ years of warehouse/supply chain experience.
Skills
• Proficiency in counting and inventory transaction integrity.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
