As a Lead Designer, you will guide the workflow, scheduling, and activities of Mechanical and Electrical Design staff. You will manage complex design tasks, resolve technical issues, and develop departmental processes and standards. Utilizing your advanced skills, you will create detailed two- and three-dimensional CAD drawings and ensure they meet engineering goals and standards.

Hours: 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM (flexibility available)

Location: Woodland, CA

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually (based on experience)

Bonus: Annual Bonus Eligibility

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain procedures for document control, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all design documents.

• Perform data entry, updates, and database maintenance for documentation applications.

• Plan and manage the document and content management life cycles.

• Review and verify final drawings for completeness, clarity, accuracy, and compliance with standards.

• Lead the creation and modification of detailed 2D/3D CAD design drawings based on engineering input.

• Apply knowledge of electrical systems by preparing wiring diagrams and schematics.

• Develop new departmental processes, procedures, and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical Design.

• Minimum 3 years of design experience with advanced CAD skills and engineering change management.

• Preferred: 5 years of design experience, with leadership experience.

• Job Knowledge : Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and job requirements.

• Prioritization : Capable of organizing tasks based on importance to achieve key goals.

• Problem Solving : Identifies problems, gathers information, generates alternatives, and communicates solutions.

• Technology Knowledge : Awareness of current and future technologies related to CAD and design.
