Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to provide support to the accounting staff and project teams. You will be responsible for processing incoming vendor and subcontractor invoices, routing them for approval, and providing administrative support. Additionally, you will handle data input, log information within accounting software, and import approved invoices into the ERP system. Your role will also include processing payments, reconciling monthly vendor statements, and performing general office tasks such as filing and copying.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming vendor and subcontractor invoices and route for approval.

  • Provide administrative support to Accounts Payable and accounting functions, including data input and logging information within accounting software programs.

  • Import approved vendor and subcontractor invoices into ERP.

  • Process payments for vendor and subcontractor payables as necessary.

  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements to the accounts payable transaction reports.

  • Support the Accounting Manager, Controller, Accounts Payable Specialist, accounting staff, and project teams.

  • Perform general office tasks such as filing and copying.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with accounts payable processing.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Timberline and Sage 300.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with invoices, purchase orders, and vendor management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with an emphasis in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent area of study.

  • Six months of accounts payable processing experience within construction, engineering, or architectural related environments.

  • High school diploma or GED with 1+ year of accounts payable processing experience within construction, engineering, or architectural related environments may be considered.

Work Environment

This role is in an office setting with a schedule of 8am-5pm. We pride ourselves on having a strong company culture and offering opportunities for development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
