Commander, Navy Installations POLICE OFFICER in El Centro, California

Summary You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT of NAF EL CENTRO SEC DET. GS-5 Salary $46,020 to $59,823 GS-6 Salary $51,300 to $66,692 Responsibilities You will apprehend or detain individuals in accordance with regulations or laws. You will conduct investigations through record checks, interviews, surveillance, or other methods to ascertain any criminal activity. You will follow law enforcement procedures or techniques to enforce laws and protect life, property, and the civil rights of individuals. You will implement standard procedures for responding to requests for services, incidents, accidents, and alarms. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Issuing citations in violation of law enforcement regulations; 2) Conducting investigations related to critical incidents (i.e., traffic accidents, domestic violence, assaults, child abuse/neglect) in accordance to policies and procedures; 3) Interviewing witnesses to gather information about incidents; and 4) Conducting inspections of vehicles to detect the unauthorized removal of classified material, government property, contraband, weapons, explosives or any items detrimental to security.
