Job Title: Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker

Job Description

Join our team as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, where you will be responsible for installing a variety of Sheet Metal equipment. Some include strict sheet metal or fan coils, heat pumps, and more. Your tasks will involve cutting sections to assemble commercial rigid air conditioning ductwork/systems, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the safe installation of units. You will collaborate with a foreman to foster a team-based work environment and contribute positively to projects. Additionally, you will handle fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal parts, maintaining equipment, enforcing safety regulations, and potentially performing additional duties as directed.

Hard Skills

• Journeyman level experience in sheet metal

• Experience with commercial, residential, and tenant improvement

• Experience with split systems, rooftop units, boilers, chillers, CAVs, water source heat pumps, VRF, vents, fans, ducted equipment, VFDs

• Proficiency in soft startup/pre-check lists

Soft Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches

• Knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials

• Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment

• Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy

• Strong initiative and ability to enforce safety regulations
