Aerotek Material Handler in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey

Aerotek is Immediately hiring a 1st Shift Material Handler for a Custom Millwork Manufacturing Company located in Mays Landing, NJ

We are seeking candidates with previous Sit Down Forklift or manufacturing experience

Job Description:

Contribute to accident-free operations and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations. Inspect forklifts daily, change propane tanks as needed, and safely operate forklifts. Ensure extrusion operators and production assistants obtain needed supplies and materials in a timely manner (e.g., capping, dunnage boards, boxes, scrap bins). Assist in wrapping and banding finished material and moving it to storage areas occasionally. Scan completed material racks before transporting them to designated storage areas. Assist in loading regrind into silos or bags as directed. Support the operation and general maintenance of grinders as requested. Provide production support in the staging of bins, skids, and raw materials. Assist in recycling cardboard and other waste products. Depending on the plant (Wood, PVC, or Rail), assist the Receiving Department in loading and unloading trucks. Observe and document silo readings to ensure an appropriate amount of material is available for daily production. Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.

Skills:

Hand & Power tools, carpentry, construction, building pallets, flooring, & hand saws

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Ability to work independently with little direction as needed

• Keep work area safe and clean

• Evaluate finished product quality to visual and or documented quality standards

• Must comply with company PPE policy

• Tool checks and PM's on tools

• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Work in a bustling manufacturing environment with machines operating continuously; some areas may be loud and dusty. We prioritize safety—safety glasses and gloves are provided. Adhere to our dress code of manufacturing/work pants or jeans, a sweatshirt, and work boots (steel toe recommended). Benefit from a heated warehouse, two 15-minute breaks, and a 30-minute lunch break daily. A cafeteria equipped with a refrigerator and microwave is available for your convenience. Working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Currently, our team consists of 43 members, expanding to 55 this month.

Pay Rate: $18.00

Schedule: (Full Time) Monday-Friday 7:00-3:30pm

Environment: Manufacturing Facility
