In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.

We offer various shifts:

  • Rotating Day Shift (continental)

  • Monday to Thursday Nightshift

  • Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

    Roles & Responsibilities

  • Daily inspection of in process units: ensure sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in process inspections are of high quality.

  • Daily inspection of paperwork for all in process units and report any deficiencies to Quality Supervisor.

  • Complete sub assembly inspections such as: motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.

  • Complete unit final inspections.

  • Review inspection documents and make unit packages.

  • Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.

  • Assist with education of other inspectors and production team members.

  • Inspect drawings and marking/breaking work and ensure it is correct.

  • Assist marking with Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to Quality Supervisor.

  • Inspect all aspect of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and record all discrepancies.

  • Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos.

  • Inspect all welded carbon steel and aluminum parts to meet code

  • Strong welding background

  • Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Other duties as required .

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Level 1 CSA 178.2,CSA W59/W47 endorsements Required

  • 1-3 years of quality control experience in an organization that has an established quality program.

  • Carpentry, Electrical, or Sheet Metal background is an asset.

  • Some formal or practical exposure to quality control concepts.

  • Courses with a focus on quality control or quality systems.

  • Strong ability to read shop drawings.

  • Practical experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Highly motivated, self-directed, detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

    Working Conditions

  • Commercial/Industrial environment.

  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.

  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).

  • Long periods of standing.

  • Overtime as required .
