Robert Half EDI Analyst in Edison, New Jersey
Description We are in the process of recruiting an EDI Analyst to join our team based in EDISON, New Jersey. The primary function of this job is to work within the Manufacturing industry, ensuring smooth operations of our EDI systems, including customer order integration, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the coordination and management of EDI transactions as the subject matter expert
• Collaborate with trading partners for accurate setup and processing of document exchanges
• Troubleshoot and monitor EDI transmissions daily, addressing any errors in sales orders, invoices, and acknowledgments
• Facilitate seamless integration of customer purchase orders, acknowledgments, shipping notices, and invoices
• Cooperate with internal teams to resolve any issues affecting order processing and cash reconciliation
• Work closely with third-party EDI providers and trading partners to design and implement custom EDI solutions
• Maintain and update documentation related to EDI processes, mapping, and configurations
• Undertake analysis of EDI processes for continuous improvement and optimization
• Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency through improved EDI practices and automation
• Conduct system maintenance and testing of EDI transactions to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Utilize data analytics to provide insights into the performance of EDI processes and support decision-making. Requirements
• Proficiency with ANSI X12 standard for electronic data interchange
Familiarity with 850, 855, 856, 810, 997 (price catalog, purchase orders, order confirmations, shipping notices, invoices, acknowledgements) and trading partnerships
• Strong knowledge and experience with DB2 Database
• Ability to handle EDI Transactions effectively
• Experience with File Gateway systems
• Familiarity with Gentran software
• Proven experience in AB Testing
• Understanding and practical usage of Applicability Statement 2 (AS2)
• Ability to perform Business Process Functions
• Capability to create and interpret Business Requirement Document
• Proficient in Configuration Management
• Experience with Order to Cash processes in the manufacturing industry
