Stantec Senior Process Engineer in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Key to our future is the growth of our process team to support both the water, wastewater and the energy sector. We are excited by the potential growth prospects and now we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join the team. This is a good opportunity to join an ambitious team that will provide you with plenty of scope for career progression in the coming years.

Working from one of our UK based offices, you will take a lead role delivering a challenging capital programme. Leading our team of global experts, you will use your knowledge and experience to deliver innovative, sustainable, and efficient engineering solutions for our clients and the communities around us.

You will provide technical leadership on multi-disciplinary projects teams in terms of developing and managing people, tasks and oversight on project scope and risk. You will lead the digital delivery strategy from process modelling, mass balances to P&IDs, using appropriate software to provide advice, solutions and successful project outcomes for clients. Finally, we will be looking for you to mentor and coach our team of process engineers to continue their journey to become world leaders in their field.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Chemical or Process Engineering or other relevant subject with experience within the water industry, across water or wastewater. Candidates with experience of both will be welcomed. You must also be a member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. IChemE.

This is a chance to join a dynamic team in supporting the delivery of a variety of projects across the UK and Ireland, with opportunities to support global projects and teams. You will provide technical leadership on projects in terms of developing and managing people and tasks, managing budgets, scope and risk. You will also work closely with our clients on and off site.
