Citigroup Senior Data Analyst in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Job Summary:

The Senior Data Analyst will lead advanced data analysis projects to inform and support strategic decision-making within the organisation. The role involves extracting, cleaning and analysing large datasets to uncover trends, patterns and insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct complex data analysis and interpret results to provide actionable insights.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of data and analysis, implementing checks and validation processes as necessary.

  • Data Remediation: Facilitate remediation of EUCs and data quality issues across Middle Office functional services utilizing authoritative data platforms.

  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Project Leadership: Lead data analysis projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet business objectives.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically about data.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.

  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior team members.
