Amazon Central Government Account Manager - Scotland in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Would you like to be part of a dedicated account team focusing on Scottish Central Government customers?

Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help accelerate AWS as a key technology platform provider?

As a Central Government Account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help promote the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology.

Your responsibility will be to increase market penetration and uptake of AWS services within this central government customer, working alongside another account manager and dedicated account team.

Ideally, you possess both a Public Sector understanding and cloud background that enables you to engage at the CXO level as well as with software developers, IT architects and decision makers. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with a wider account team to create, develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

  • Align customers’ requirements with AWS services helping customers to deliver their outcomes.

  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions for our customers around AWS services.

  • Facilitate customer adoption.

  • Maintain a robust customer project pipeline.

  • Work with partners extending capability, and adoption.

  • Contribute to positive customer experience.

  • Expect moderate travel.

A day in the life

  • Lead engagements with a strategic large UK Gov Department

  • Present thought leadership and build relationships with senior management teams.

  • Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast pace of the cloud computing market.

  • Identify and engage key partners including ISVs and system integrators.

  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to create cross industry opportunities.

  • Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the sales technology industry
