Robert Half Finance Business Consultant in Edina, Minnesota
Description We are in need of a Finance Business Consultant to join our team in Edina, Minnesota. This role is crucial in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment across teams and projects. As a Finance Business Consultant, you'll be tasked with a variety of financial and operational responsibilities, including analyzing financial reports, managing business planning processes, and improving business processes.
Responsibilities
• Analyze and validate forecasts, resolving discrepancies with AEs and Finance to ensure accuracy in monthly financial reports
• Lead the annual business planning process, incorporating strategic alignment across teams
• Generate both standardized and ad-hoc activity reports for external partners, contributing to transparency and communication
• Prepare comprehensive presentations summarizing business wins, growth, and changes for leadership
• Maintain the accuracy of Brokerage Sharing Agreements (BSAs) in financial systems, ensuring optimal operation
• Develop model BSA structures and best practices in collaboration with the legal team
• Identify trends and opportunities to optimize BSAs, contributing to financial efficiency
• Communicate deadlines and best practices for BSAs, reporting, and revenue recognition, facilitating team alignment
• Assist with Microsoft Power BI reporting and strategic initiative support for North America, contributing to business process improvement
• Proactively ensure treaty deals are completed and documented accurately, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, business process improvement, annual operating budget, budgeting, budgeting - forecasting, and accounting operations to perform duties effectively. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Finance Business Consultant.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
• Demonstrated experience in business process improvement.
• Proven track record in preparing and managing Annual Operating Budget.
• Sound knowledge of budgeting principles and practices.
• Experience in Budgeting - Forecasting, providing accurate and data-based information on the company’s profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity.
• Familiarity with accounting operations, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
