InterFuze is seeking a CBRN Technician II supporting the Defense CBRN Response Force Sustainment - Logistics and Mission Support division located in Edgewood, MD.
The selected candidate will perform the following responsibilities:
- Work directly with CBRN equipment, performing maintenance, sustainment, and inventory tasks to ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, and repairs on Mass Casualty Decontamination (MCD), Reconnaissance (RCN), and of Mortuary Affairs Contaminated Remains Mitigation Site (MACRMS) kits.
- Coordinate MACRMS sustainment and maintain communication with units to address their needs.
- Support quarterly sustainment visits and field refresh activities.
- Assist with the inventory and recertification of equipment.
- Identify and address equipment shortages or service needs.
- Utilize, and maintain inventory system (VIPER) to track equipment status and updates.
- Prepare and update documentation, including maintenance logs and reports.
- Required to travel to fielding, and sustainment visits in various locations about 25% of the time.
- Advise when CBRN equipment has impacts on operations during the program cycle.
- Update the Program Manager weekly on working tasks, activities, and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant military experience.
- 2+ years in a technical role, ideally with CBRN equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
- Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with inventory systems and computer skills such as Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently with self-drive for learning.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in warehouse and field environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- US Military CBRN position experience.
- US Military Technical Escort, Dismounted Recon Course, or Civil Support Skill Course certification preferred.
- Civil Support Team, Technical Escort Unit, or Dismounted Recon Platoon experience.
- US Military logistics understanding such as supply accountability, and supply storage.
Additional Qualifications:
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
