The Solutions Architect plays a key role in assisting the Growth and Relationship Management teams in ensuring current and potential customers have a complete understanding of the benefit solutions that Optum Financial offers. The Solutions Architect offers integration and best practices consulting services on large-scale, complex implementations and integrations. While working closely with Growth, Product and Relationship Management, this role will report directly to the Head of the Consumer Employer business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Growth and Relationship Management teams as a technical resource to understand a client’s needs and assist in facilitating an overview on Optum Financials’ benefit solution.

  • Provide technical expertise in developing solutions to complex issues and problems

  • Provide pre-project product review by assisting with RFP’s and identifying potential product build issues

  • Understands a customer’s business and functional requirements and provide consultation on the best solution offered by Optum Financial.

  • Maintains a close partnership with Product, Relationship Management and Growth by attending pipeline calls, business reviews, product roadmap reviews and advocating for go to market plans.

  • Support RFPs - understanding client requirements in RFPs and identifying potential product build issues before sale

  • Consultative with clients and able to help them think differently about their needs

  • Works closely with growth team leaders on identifying critical elements for a successful pitch by understanding the market and the needs of a customer

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant product, implementation, client success or consulting experience in the Benefits Administration (BenAdmin) Industry including products (HSA, FSA, HRA)

  • 10+ years of experience within healthcare and financial services, specifically in the BenAdmin industry and Benefits systems/technologies and platforms supporting those products

  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise integration tools or methodologies

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working with current and potential customers as a trusted consultative/technical resource

  • Proven exceptional communication skills

  • Proven solid influencing skills

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
