In joining the Optum Advisory Trend Analytics Consulting team: you’ll be part of a team that is a leader in health care cost analytics, with a proven track record of supporting health plans across the country through a diverse staff of Actuaries, Data/Research Analysts, and Business/Technology Consultants. Our consulting team has continued to expand capabilities and our consulting presence by identifying, developing, and executing on new and exciting business opportunities.
As a member of our high-performing team, you’ll help support Optum’s growth and financial goals while you help shape our future. As a Project Support Consultant to our Actuarial team, you will be empowered, supported, and encouraged to use your expertise to support our client partners.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Document Preparation : Create, edit, and format PowerPoint slides for internal and client presentations. Assist with final production of documents and presentations including printing client presentations for on-site meetings
Data Management: Expertise in Excel for data management and reporting tasks
Administrative Assistance: Draft and edit e-mails, memos, and written communications. Manage email distributions, organizational chart, and calendar schedules. Prepare agendas, solicit agenda topics, manage attendance, and take notes during meetings, as needed
Team Coordination and Onboarding: Provide day-to-day support to the Trend Analytics Consulting team. Aid in onboarding new employees including ordering equipment, team announcements, and access requests. Organize team meetings and events, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
Expense Management: Submit expense reports in a timely manner for reimbursement. Arrange travel plans and prepare travel agendas for team events
People and Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact, ensuring professional and timely communication
Software Utilization: Use Salesforce, Concur, and Microsoft Outlook to manage tasks and communications efficiently

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a similar capacity at a healthcare consulting firm
3+ years of experience demonstrating Project Management: Experience in project management tools and project coordination
2+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite: including TEAMs, Word, Outlook, Visio
2+ years of experience in MS Excel and PowerPoint
1+ years of experience working with Actuaries
1+ years of experience with Client Interaction: Experience in client-facing roles or customer service
1+ years of experience demonstrating Problem-Solving Skills: Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
1+ years of experience demonstrating Software Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce, Concur, and Microsoft Outlook
Proven excellent Communication and organizational skills
Located in MN and able to commute to office in Eden Prairie or willing to relocate to MN
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with Healthcare Data: Familiarity with healthcare data and analytics
3+ years of experience demonstrating Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and data analysis tools

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
