Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with at least one year of experience working in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, easy fixes on bearings, belts, sprockets, and mechanical problems, as well as basic electrical tasks. The technician must be comfortable using hand tools and power tools, and will be required to walk long distances and climb ladders to fix conveyor belts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance work on bearings, belts, sprockets, and other mechanical components.

• Fix conveyor belts and other mechanical problems.

• Use hand tools and power tools effectively.

• Conduct basic electrical repairs and maintenance.

• Work with hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Handle minor motor repairs.

Essential Skills

• At least one year of experience as a technician in an industrial environment.

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

• Experience in mechanical repair and preventive maintenance.

• Knowledge of conveyor maintenance.

• Basic electrical knowledge.

• Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a distribution facility is preferred.

• Ability to work independently with minimal training.

• Comfortable working in various temperature conditions within a large facility.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a 1,000,000 sq. foot facility. Not all areas are climate-controlled, so it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. However, the facility is very clean, and measures can be taken to manage the temperature, such as pumping in heat and opening bay doors in the summer. Shifts include Weekend Days (SAT/SUN/MON) and Weekday Nights (TUE-FRI), with potential changes after a 6-month contract-to-hire period. The first week will be on the 1st shift. Pay $26-32/hr.

This is a Contract position based out of Eden, North Carolina.
