Social Media Activation Specialist, Full-Time, Easton PA GENERAL SUMMARY: A strategic, highly organized, self-directed, and creative Social Media Activation Specialist who has significant experience with highly visible brands managing and executing social media marketing and influencer campaigns across a variety of social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest), ecommerce, and digital marketing platforms. In addition to managing the brand's day-to-day social platforms, this person will play a key role in leading the strategy, guidelines, editorial planning process and activation surrounding the brand's social campaigns, programs, content and communications. The ideal candidate will possess a social-first mindset, the innate talent for both creating and recognizing on-trend and engaging content, impeccable attention to detail and extensive proven experience activating social media, influencers and content creators to build brands, generate organic engagement, grow followers and subscribers, and drive consumer advocacy, awareness and engagement. The desired individual will identify opportunities to engage audiences by leveraging new and existing social media channels and technologies as well as implement mechanisms for measurement and best practice learning. On a strategic level, he/she/they will create and drive the development of the brand's social media marketing strategy including test and learn programs, strategic partners and tools to acquire new fans and connect with current followers more effectively and meaningfully. He/she/they will also vet, on-board and manage external partner agencies to optimize brand's ability to create, curate and publish engaging, entertaining and on-trend social content. On a tactical level, he/she/they will manage a combination of social targeted marketing campaigns, cultural moments, and an always-on social content strategy and presence across platforms by driving the social campaign calendar across our brand social handles, creating social-native content, partnering with influencers and content creators, identifying performance metrics to drive consumer demand and efficiency and effectiveness, developing a pipeline of new content ideation, as well as providing regular performance reporting to all levels of the business. This role does not have a direct report. The ideal candidate will be experienced at navigating a fast-paced environment, interacting with cross-functional teams, leading agency partners and working closely with key marketing, video, content, sales, product, education and PR business stakeholders. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the strategy and development of Crayola's social media channels - focusing on building audience and extending the brand's engagement to help build brand equity inclusive of campaign and program measurement, analysis and best practice generation to allow for optimum visibility and engagement of social content. Lead the day-to-day social community management, specifically publishing, of all social media accounts for the brand (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.), utilizing industry, company and parent company best practices including development of monthly calendars for both original and curated content. Lead the strategy and development of influencer and content creator agencies, programs, campaigns, content and visual assets for publishing on social, digital, ecommerce and marketing channels. Partner with global partners to identify best practices and establish universal brand guidelines and aid in the creation and maintenance of the region/country specific channels. Lead the on-boarding and management of social partner agencies Leverage social listening platforms to better understand audiences, engagement opportunities and cultural moments to inform current and future social strategies. Test & learn social messaging, tactics, strategi s and technologies to stay on or ahead of trends as it relates to best practices, competitive activity and industry innovation. Partner with PR and corporate communication to manage instances of social media PR crisis to help maintain brand image, reduce and eradicate the spread negative brand commentary and reinforce inclusive nature of brand social media platforms and commentary JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in social media, marketing, communications, or related discipline. 5-7 years of business experience in social media marketing and/or content marketing. Direct experience leading and developing strategic social media and digital activations in a corporate or agency setting across all major social media platforms. Direct experience sourcing, negotiating and activating influencer and content creator partnerships, campaigns, assets and publishing across social, digital and marketing channels. Direct experience managing and partnering with agencies - ability to brief; on-board; collaborate and manage day to day processes. Experience crafting reports and presentations on channel performance and analytics. Ability to analyze and translate data into simplified stories and actionable best practices. Ability to use social media tools e.g., Google Analytics, social media dashboards, listening and other social measurement vendors. Knowledge of SEO strategy and implementation preferred but not mandatory. Ecommerce experience a plus but not mandatory. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of social media legal guidelines. Team player who can work in a fast-paced environment.
