Responsibilities

The Clinical Operations Area Director PTA is responsible for efficient and profitable management of Powerback Rehabilitation's operations. This position is also responsible for marketing rehabilitation services in the region. The Clinical Operations Area Director PTA monitors the standards of clinical services being delivered and maintained in all sites of service.

  1. Oversees and directs management of all area clinical operations.

  2. Ensures accountability to the provision of evidence based care and adherence to care delivery standards.

  3. Reviews monthly department and individual therapist outcomes and supports staff in identifying strategies to improve outcomes as needed.

  4. Assists therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and providing clinical education to meet the needs of the patient.

  5. Takes responsibility for the development and support of all staff in their Area to include rounding, second- tier rounding, coaching and mentoring.

  6. Monitors the standard of clinical services being delivered and maintained in all sites and ensures an ethical and compliant product is being delivered.

  7. Reviews strategic plans with senior management to achieve the goals of Powerback Rehabilitation, and ensures that policies and procedures of the company are consistently followed.

  8. Conducts Director of Rehab meetings on a regular basis to communicate, develop and remove barriers to patient care and increase customer satisfaction.

  9. Assumes responsibility for marketing the services of Powerback Rehabilitation within the assigned area in conjunction with Business Development.

  10. Accepts responsibility for meeting budgetary goals and financial P&L for the assigned area.

  11. Meets clinical education needs of their Area.

  12. Assures compliance (CI & Quality) in their Area.

  13. Assumes responsibility for and participates in Area corporate integrity investigations and quality audits in conjunction with the compliance department and other departments as necessary.

  14. Ensures appropriate levels of staff to meet patient and customer needs. Ensures that customer expectations are being met and monitors satisfaction levels; creates monthly reports for customers and schedules quarterly in-person meetings.

  15. Assures new contracts are initiated according to Powerback Rehabilitation standards in conjunction with Business Development.

  16. Acts as a resource to the Director of Rehab for the performance appraisal and clinical performance management of staff.

  17. Assists with clinical orientation and ensures that there is a quality orientation process for new rehab staff.

  18. Oversight of the operations of student placements.

  19. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.

  2. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.

  3. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in rehabilitation or business preferred.

  4. Must have a minimum of five years experience in rehabilitation, two of which have been in management and administration.

  5. Patient care experience within the last 2-3 years is required.
