To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of installation, service, repair, operation, and inspection of all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and minor electrical portions of all facility equipment including production and maintenance equipment, buildings and structures, plant vehicles, services and utilities for Victaulic Company. Perform repairs to building and property in production areas. Know emergency procedures covering power failure, iron spillage, water failures, etc.
To know and follow proper safety procedures including proper operation of equipment, rigging and lifting, welding, cutting, handling of hazardous materials, and working from ladders, scaffolds, overhead structures, and perform any related duties as determined by Supervision.
To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, cleaning and painting all plant vehicles, material handling equipment, mobile cranes; to troubleshoot and perform all mechanical and electrical repairs to this equipment.
To know and follow all reliability procedures process control requirements, testing procedures and job description cards as they relate work being performed.
To know and follow at all times proper safety procedures and to wear the prescribed safety equipment as they relate to the work being performed.
To report neatly and accurately work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used in completion of assigned work.
To maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris is removed upon completion of assigned work.
To report immediately to his Foreman or Supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment.
To perform his duties in such a manner as to assure the uninterrupted operation of the Facility and the continuation of Victaulic Company as a clean, safe place of employment.
Actively participate in SRP, VPDS, and any other Company initiative designed to improve workplace efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality.
