Job Summary What Your Work Will Taste Like: As the Director of Taste Platform, you will be actively engaged throughout the Taste Business Unit driving sustainable and profitable sales growth as well as protecting our current profit & business. You will support the activities of Commercial, Technical and Operational, Finance teams within Taste (Tastepoint, IFF, Powder Pure) to develop remove roadblocks and lead strategic initiatives to support the highest standards within the flavor industry. Member of Taste Leadership Team developing and supporting tactical actions removing internal roadblocks to exceed customer's expectations from brief to commercialization. This is a cross functional and influential leader who has accountability for the competitiveness and performance with executional authority across the region. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Oversee the Powder Pure Sales Team, providing strategic direction and fostering a culture of excellence. Active Partner in Regional Leadership team supporting all functions to drive growth. People Development: Cultivate talent within your team, promoting continuous learning and professional growth. Operational Effectiveness: Provide commercial support to operations for the Taste business unit, protecting business as commercial lead to exceed customer expectations with service and communication, where required. Lead initiatives which help our operations team run effectively and efficiently. Financial Support: Support commercial team in achieving financial targets to assure Taste Business unit meets/exceeds financial goals. Provide support to financial team for North American Regional financial Senior Leadership communication & expectations against annual goals including current financial performance, pipeline opportunities, identify and respond to gaps where we can grow profitably. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business plans and tactical regional strategies aligned with regional and global strategies. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with Regional Leadership Team enhancing internal communication to help meet/exceed our financial and service targets. Understand customer experience, identify, and fill gaps that improve customer experience and drive growth Cross-functional Leadership: Provide direction & support with cross functional teams to achieve business directives. Drive specific initiatives which meet customer expectations to grow and defend current sales. Support commercial / cross-functional team in qualifying prospective customers, expanding business access, and building business cases and active participation in execution. Support and attend key high level customer activities as leader in Taste Business Unit. Help develop strategies on key business opportunities to deploy appropriate of IFF capabilities (consumer insights, sustainability, ingredients, formulations, innovative solutions) to help differentiate IFF based on what customers value. Actively participate in account plans to help develop higher level strategies in Taste to support commercial & extended teams Study & analysis win/loss/project cancellations to develop strategies and tactics with commercial team to maximize learning and improve chances of future success Monitor regional accounts and team sales performance and provide strategic updates and provide support to the teams & reporting to Senior management. Be a role model of integrity, customer focus, caring and commitment for colleagues and customers Qualifications: Over 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, experience in the flavors is required.
