CENTRAL WASHINGTON OPPORTUNITY. Pupusera (Cook) sought for Salvadorean Pupusas, Inc. to work in East Wenatchee, Washington. Work experience may be gained through 2 years full-time experience or part-time work equating to 2 years of full-time work. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States. Wage of $21.27/hr. Job Description: Prepare and cook traditional El Salvadorean dishes, primarily pupusas (thick corn flatbread stuffed with various fillings). Clean, peel and chop vegetables. Chop, slice and season and/or marinate meat. Prepare and knead dough until proper consistency for pupusas. Shape and stuff pupusas with various fillings such as vegetables, cheese, beans or meats. Cook pupusas on griddle. Cook and assemble other dishes such as empanadas, enchiladas, soups, and desserts. Prepare sauces, salsas and side dishes per customer orders. Check cooked food for proper temperatures and seasoning. Plate or package dishes per customer orders. Consult with management on product inventory and menus. Monitor food storage for quality, expiration dates, cleanliness and food safety protocols. Clean and sanitize work area and utensils.
