HVAC Technician

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/hr

Location: Syracuse, NY

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot, and service commercial HVAC systems. This role involves traveling to commercial buildings within a 90-mile radius to repair rooftop standard package and split unit HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.

• Travel to commercial buildings within a 90-mile radius to perform repairs.

• Inspect and repair/replace belts and pulleys, and clean condensate drain lines.

• Test power/performance of compressors, fan motors, blower motors, and the function and safety of burners/heat exchangers.

• Perform general repairs of steam/hot water boiler systems.

• Diagnose airflow and ducting issues.

• Receive daily work orders and travel to assigned locations for repairs.

• Quote necessary work and order required parts for work orders.

• Create and submit Service Reports and Quality Inspection images and reports.

Essential Skills

• HVAC repair and maintenance.

• Universal EPA certification.

• HVAC service and plumbing.

• HVAC installation.

• 3-5 years of HVAC repair and troubleshooting experience.

• Strong customer service skills, as the role involves interacting with commercial property clients.

Work Environment

This is a travel HVAC Technician role with no overnight travel required. You will not travel more than a 90-mile radius and will return home the same day. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with flexible hours available. Evenings and weekends may be required occasionally.
