Aspen Aerogels is a rapidly growing aerogel technology company founded in 2001 to capitalize on patented advances in aerogel manufacturing. Lead the efficient and safe execution of repairs and routine maintenance PM's and overall shift performance to support production schedules, quality standards and plant key performance indicators. Lead the communication and execution plans for all maintenance techs on the shift to include reporting, coaching, shift cross overs and departmental measures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow Lockout/Tag out procedures at all times and ensure all Maintenance Personnel are following all safety procedures to include Covid-19 protocol at all times.
  • Provide high level of troubleshooting and coaching for other maintenance techs on the shift
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager on PM and daily activities for the shift
  • Lead all escalation issues for the shift to include written summary of activities, root causes and timelines
  • Be the point of contact for all activities with contractors and vendors on the shift
  • Generate the daily reporting of shift performance to include, unplanned downtime, OEE, Production challenges, PM % completion and labor hrs. for the shift
  • Participate in plant escalation meetings, departmental forums and process improvement discussions
  • Provide clear and succinct communication to production personnel, team members and managers
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by preparing and completing preventive and planned maintenance plans on processing and packaging machines and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiencies
  • Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and instructions (Good manufacturing Practices, LOTO, Work Permits, etc.)
  • Performs additional duties as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer skills required: (Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite)
