Job Overview The incumbent is responsible for the safety and health management of all DBSI and subcontracted work activities to ensure all work is completed safely, the work environment is safe to all employees, and unsafe situations are identified and corrected. The SSHO is responsible for the safety responsiveness, and compliance of the company's safety plan. Salary from $110-130k Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, 401K. Work Model: Onsite/Office Based Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Develops and implements safety procedures and policies. Writes and updates the Safety Plan as needed. Performs safety audits, investigates accidents and ensures any needed corrective actions are completed. Coordinates with management, Human Resources, and staff for workers compensation claims and actions. Develops job safety analysis (JSAs) to support restricted duty work assignments, claims management, and development of standard operating procedures. Performs safety surveys (e.g. noise surveys, air monitoring, time and motion studies) to support personal protective equipment (PPE) policies. Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, including the following: Medical Surveillance, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space Entry, Hazardous Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout), Fall Protection, Ergonomics, Personal Protective Equipment, Hearing Conservation, Fire Prevention, Accident Investigation and Reporting, Hazard Communication, Electrical Safety and General Procedures. Performs other related work as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: Minimum of three (5) years of cumulative safety experience within the last ten years managing or implementing a SOH program on projects similar in industry type, size, and complexity of the project described in the contract scope of work. Knowledge of Government contracting terminology and requirements. Knowledge of pertinent safety regulations and requirements necessary to perform the contractual obligations at this project location. Knowledge and previous experience in accident investigation and reporting principles and practices. Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS). OSHA 30 Construction Safety training. EM 385-1-1.
