Kitsap County Attorney 2 - Civil Division in East Port Orchard, Washington
Join our dynamic team at the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney-Civil Division! We're seeking a passionate WSBA licensed attorney to contribute to our collaborative group of nine experienced civil attorneys.
As a valued member of our team, you'll engage in diverse aspects of civil litigation, including:
- Building compelling cases through evidence gathering and analysis
- Managing discovery, motions, and depositions
- Representing the county in mediations, court appearances, and trials
- Contributing to our appellate practice
This role offers exciting opportunities to develop expertise in:
- Tort and civil rights defense
- Nuisance abatement
- Condemnation proceedings
- Property disputes
- Construction and public records litigation
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A minimum of one year of general civil litigation experience
- WSBA licensure
- Strong written and oral communication abilities

Appointed positions in this classification are at-will and the incumbents' continued employment with the County is at the discretion of the elected Prosecutor. The appointment of an incumbent in a position in this classification may be revoked at any time with or without cause and without right to appeal.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
[REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:]{.underline}
Attorney 2 ($110,460.38-$141,314.52)
- Juris Doctor (JD) from a recognized and accredited school of law by the US Department of Education, and
- Membership in the Washington State Bar Association, and
- Admission to practice before the State Courts.
- One year of prior experience practicing law in area of assignment.
All minimum qualifications must be met, there are no acceptable equivalent qualifications.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $110,460.38 - $141,314.52. This position offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a pension retirement, and other voluntary benefits.
