Position Summary
The Michigan State University College of Law Pipeline Programming, Outreach, and Education Office seeks to hire four Fellows for the Pathway Scholars Program (PSP) for the Summer of 2025. The anticipated start date is May 26, 2025, with one week of training and preparation, followed by in residence assistance June 2 through and will end June 27, 2025.
PSP Fellows will reside in Owen Hall with the undergraduate program participants, will serve as teaching assistants, resident assistants, and operational and evaluation support for the Pathway Scholars Program. They will supervise program participants within the residence hall, Law College, and university dining areas, enforcing University and program policies. PSP Fellows will be required to attend a University Housing and a Pathway Scholars Program training.
PSP Fellows will accompany participants to courses in the Law College, as well as on excursions to various locations throughout the state. PSP Fellows will receive $5,000, subject to tax withholding, one single-occupancy room in Owen Hall (for the duration of the program), a food allowance for use in on-campus dining halls, and complimentary access to excursion venues.

- Contribute to the development and success of the Pathway Scholars Program
- Serve as an academic resource and peer educator for classes

``` 1. - Responsible for the material covered in the academic, career, and professional development portions of the program, will lead break-out sessions, hold office hours, and assist program faculty with grading and feedback on submitted assignments. - Tutor on substantive law, assist students with legal skill-building, and provide student support in break-out sessions and office hours, as well as host review sessions and question and answer sessions.

``` 3. Responsibility partner for communication, program implementation, and program evaluation

``` 1. - Provide day-to-day feedback on the program, documenting participant questions and gaps in understanding. Responsible for the distribution of the evaluations, confirmation of completion, compiling results. - Responsible for providing feedback in evaluation of the program and making recommendations for improving the program for future offerings.

``` 4. Serve in a forward operational capacity, supporting classes, tours, events, and the overall program operations for the Pathway Scholars Program 5. Serve as an ambassador for Michigan State University and Michigan State University College of Law.

``` 1. - Responsible for staffing the welcome session, assisting students with acclimating to campus, providing leadership in university and program policies, encouraging and escorting students in exploring campus and finding resources (libraries, computer labs, museums, gardens, sporting events), and giving tours of MSU College of Law. - Participate in ongoing mentor groups representing the law school to bench and bar mentors and Pathway Scholars.
