Position Summary
Precision Health Program (PHP) at Michigan State University has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow position in the area of nanotechnology and application of image-guided nanocarriers for RNA-based drug delivery to tumors. Successful candidate will be part of vigorous program performing cutting edge research in the area of nanooncology focusing on fast growing and metastatic cancers and development of novel image-guided cancer therapies.
Specifically, the successful applicant will be expected to:
- Develop nanoparticle carriers for delivery of RNA-based therapeutics to tumors;
- Investigate the behavior of these nanocarriers in vitro and in vivo in animal models of cancer; devise strategies to achieve the highest arrest/regress of tumor growth;
- Collaborate with other members of the program and participate in team work towards devising image-guided therapies;
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the lab.
This position is a 12-month fixed term appointment. Renewal of position is based on funding and performance.
