Position Summary
The MSU School of Social Work is dedicated to educating students for ethical, competent, responsive, and innovative social work practice, and to conducting and disseminating high quality research that improves the well-being of the most vulnerable in society. Our teaching, research, and outreach synergistically promote social justice, positive change, and solutions to the problems facing diverse individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.. More than 650 students are enrolled in our CSWE-accredited BASW and MSW programs, and PhD program.
The School supports MSU's outreach mission through off-campus, distance, and blended instructional programs that utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies. We also provide multiple opportunities for creative interdisciplinary teaching and research, community-based studies, and partnerships with government agencies and neighborhoods.
The School of Social Work seeks candidates for 15 positions to serve as field liaisons to work with students within their assigned area. This is a project paid position. Students are placed throughout the state of Michigan in relation to our East Lansing, Flint, Weekend or Statewide Blended campus sites.
Responsibilities include agency visits; on-going contact with students throughout the semester to monitor their progress; organize and facilitate required field-based integrative seminars with their graduate student group; keep field coordinator informed of student's progress in field; complete evaluation forms for each student each semester; complete necessary required paperwork.

Masters -Social Work
Minimum Requirements
MSW
Must also possess a LMSW; Driver's license, car and the ability to travel. Excellent interpersonal, group and conflict resolution skills. Experience facilitating small groups. Professional verbal and written communication ability. Knowledge of social work systems, agency culture and the community human service delivery system. Ability to work independently as well as organizational competence with follow-through.

Work Hours
