Michigan State University(MSU) Office Coordinator II in East Lansing, Michigan
Position Summary
This position is responsible for a fulfilling a wide range of responsibilities that support all functions and activities within the unit including but not limited to: processing fixed term reappointments and faculty appointments, completing change of statuses, monitoring faculty efforts reports on grants for completeness, assisting with the unit onboarding process, backup for payroll entry, processing hiring forms for faculty, staff and students as needed, processing payment vouchers and purchase requisitions, working with and maintaining faculty and staff schedules and other administrative functions that will lead to the efficient and smooth operation of the unit. Will also maintain unit's policy and update TEAMs site for current and relevant information. and other duties to support the Human resource, financial and administrative functions of the unit.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a professional office setting, performing secretarial and administrative tasks, including experience with scheduling meetings, data entry, payroll processing, office machines, email and internet usage or in performing tasks related to the area of employment; experience in word processing, spreadsheet, mail merge, database, calendaring, publishing, and/or presentation software; knowledge of MSU policies and procedures; working knowledge of EBS and other MSU systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to use standard software packages (Microsoft Office 365)
Knowledge of contracts and grants faculty and staff appointments and effort reporting.
