Position Summary
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics invites applicants for an open-rank tenure-track position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in epidemiology. Requirements include a Doctoral Degree in epidemiology, or in related field with additional epidemiology training. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
Areas of ongoing research within our department include women's health, reproductive/perinatal/pediatric health, psychiatric and addiction epidemiology, aging and neuroepidemiology, cardiovascular epidemiology, cancer epidemiology, environmental health, COVID-19, health services and health policy, health equity, and social determinants of health. We welcome applicants who have complementary areas of research, a strong record of scholarship, and either evidence of or potential for an independent, externally funded research program with national visibility. Teaching in graduate (MS, PhD), professional, and/or undergraduate programs is expected, along with mentoring graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. MSU has 4 health-related colleges (Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing) and Colleges of Natural Sciences, Agricultural and Natural Resources, and Social Sciences, all of which participate in population health research.
