Position Summary
The Department of Medicine is dedicated to providing excellent patient care, medical education and research. Our faculty engage in a wide range of clinical and research activities, with the focus of improving the lives of the patients we serve. Pulmonary critical care is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to the respiratory system and critical care medicine. Pulmonary specialists primarily deal with conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis, and lung cancer, while critical care specialists are experts in managing patients with life-threatening conditions in intensive care units (ICUs). Pulmonary critical care specialists are uniquely trained to handle complex cases involving the lungs and respiratory system, providing both outpatient and critical care services to patients. They play a crucial role in managing patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, and other critical conditions, often utilizing advanced technologies and procedures to support patients' breathing and overall health. These two pulmonary/critical care specialists will primarily focus on providing expert inpatient critical care within the McLaren Hospital MICU

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must possess an MD or DO and should be Board-certified (or eligible for certification) in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Must possess a Michigan Medical license, Board of Pharmacy and DEA licenses. Must be eligible for privileges at our partnered facilities.
