Position Summary
The primary focus of this position is to assist faculty with courses within the undergraduate physiology and/or neuroscience program. The successful applicant’s duties could include in-class instruction of students (laboratory or classroom), conducting recitations sessions, assisting faculty in student evaluations and assessments, meeting with students outside of class and/or contributing to curriculum development; the exact responsibilities will depend on the course assignment. The position requires an individual with extensive knowledge of systems physiology and/or neuroscience, demonstrated success as a student in biological sciences, neuroscience, and/or laboratory courses, and excellent communication skills. Experience in active learning classrooms is desired. It would be highly advantageous for the candidate to have previous experience assisting with undergraduate courses in physiology, neuroscience, or a related field. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty. The position is funded for one semester only.

Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Physiology, Neuroscience or related field is required and must be completed by the start date. Excellent oral andwritten communication skills. Experience with learning management systems such as D2L, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom. Physiologyand/or Neuroscience content knowledge. Experience working in a team.
