Job Description
The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving product or materials in a production or warehouse environment using power tools and vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate industrial vehicles and equipment to transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated area
- Load and unload trailers and/or route trucks
- Move product and/or materials manually as required
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions as directed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- 1+ years of prior warehouse, stocking or forklift experience preferred
- Must have the ability to lift, carry and position product weighing up to 50 pounds above shoulder height without assistance
- Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
