Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Repair and maintain all systems in the grain elevator and the processing equipment. Assist with changing over and cleaning equipment between production runs. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to ensure systems are functioning properly and prevent clogging. Perform lots of conveyor work and use air suction equipment to move products throughout the facility. Carry out basic welding on equipment to minimize downtime during major repairs. Involved in capital projects.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Maintenance technician experience

• Mechanical and repair skills

• Welding proficiency

• Experience with grain bins and farm equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of Industrial Maintenance experience or multiple years of experience working on a farm/construction projects

• Ability to troubleshoot problems

• Experience in food or agriculture preferred

• Must undergo proper cGMP and SQF training

Work Environment

This role is based in a grain elevator, which can be dirty, dusty, and subject to the elements. The working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The dress code requires long pants and steel-toed boots. You will generally be working with 2-3 other team members at a time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
