Adecco US, Inc. Quality Manager in East Granby, Connecticut

Adecco is working alongside an international organization that offers sophisticated engineering solutions to prominent companies in the Aerospace and Defense sectors. With locations strategically situated near major customers in North America, Asia, and Europe, this group delivers advanced technological solutions tailored to the Aerospace and Defense industry. Leveraging extensive expertise in fabrications, machining, and global supply chain management, the organization supports the manufacture and repair of complex aero-engine components.

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our division and vendors consistently meet or exceed customer requirements, regulatory compliance standards, and industry best practices. We are also looking for mainly someone with Aerospace MRO experience or someone with Aerospace OEM background as well.

You will have an inspection team of about 12, 1 calibration tech and a lab tech.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and CAAC Part 145 regulations, AS 9100 standards, and other industry-specific requirements.

  • Submit reports of defects on non-airworthy conditions as per CFR 145.221.

  • Manage the un-repairable parts program and support non-conforming material processes.

  • Address quality issues promptly, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.

  • Maintain open communication with customers, management, and vendors to ensure quality expectations are met.

  • Support employee training programs and maintain training records.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to optimize work processes and ensure quality is built-in.

  • Monitor process and product outputs, identify systemic problems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop the skills of team members in quality inspection, auditing, and Six Sigma methodology.

  • Manage the divisional cost of quality and optimize return on investment.

  • Oversee QC Lab responsibilities and calibration.

  • Manage the performance of direct reports, including both salaried and hourly employees.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and experience in Quality Management System administration.

  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving continuous improvement.

  • Customer-focused with excellent analytical and project management skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Experience in customer relations and conflict resolution.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer preferred.

  • Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and CAAC regulations; experience with FAA Part 145 facilities preferred.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt certification preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
