ABOUT YOU
As an Electrician (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 103), you are technically skilled with a strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a deep commitment to safety. You possess expertise in electrical systems, including the ability to design and review wiring diagrams for various lighting systems and perform installations and repairs. Adaptable and flexible, you respond to emergency situations, collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and communicate clearly. With a dedication to maintaining FAA standards, you ensure the reliable operation of our airport-environment electrical systems.
What you will do:
Drive to various sites, assess job requirements, and tackle installations and repairs on electrical systems in buildings, signs, parking lots, and even airfields.
Create or review wiring diagrams for a wide range of lighting systems, electric motors, circuits, and switchgear, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance.
Install, maintain, and repair systems as needed while also supporting HVAC Mechanics and Technicians in troubleshooting and installing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning electrical systems.
Ensure airfield lighting and signs meet FAA FAR 139 standards for maximum safety.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Ability to read; basic oral, written and mathematical skills; including manual skills and the ability to operate machinery.
3 - 5 years’ experience with low/high voltage systems. Experience in commercial and high voltage switch gear preferred.
Massachusetts Journeyman's Electrician license
Knowledge of computer-based systems, i.e. card access, airfield lighting control, high voltage switchgear monitoring and control.
