Generac Power Systems Painter III/Lead I - 2nd Shift in Eagle, Wisconsin

PAINTER III:
The Painter III is expected to safely complete powder coat paint established procedures, processes, or policies. Painter III has ability to maintain paint equipment. Painter can safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line and/or perform the powder coat paint process. The Painters are expected to move efficiently and safely with the end result being a ready to use part or assembly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
PAINTER III:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience in a powder coat painting environment and able to pass a respiratory questionnaire and wear air hood. (PPE requirement)
Internal: DemonstratedPainter III competency & High school diploma or equivalent & ability to pass a pulmonary function test (PPE requirement)
PREFERRED QUALI F ICATIONS :
PAINTER III:
Experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
Experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work.
Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics)

PAINTER I/II/III:
Maintain clean work environment
Constantly work in a high heat environment
Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment (including tyvek suite when painting and bump cap when in paint area), work habits and performing appropriate housekeeping duties)
Other duties assigned
PAINTER III:
Load, transfer, and unload parts from paint line and perform stock handling duties to standard procedures.
Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process.
Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn off and maintain a clean work environment.
Proficiently access information and perform transactions as needed within ERP system.

PAINTER III:
Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.
Flex across different products / areas to support business needs.
Perform cleaning and other preliminary operations to prepare materials for coating.

PAINTER III:
Suggest and implement improvements to existing equipment and/or designs to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
Uses initiative and judgment to lead problem solving and implementing appropriate countermeasures.

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
