Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates. $31.25 hourly
TheEnvironmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting all project safety, incident, and fire protection programs for the Company. Analyze needs and determine specifications for protective safety equipment, materials, and gear. Ensures required records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted in accordance with established Company procedures. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and implement employee training and development programs, strong communication and presentation skills.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct surveillance inspections to monitor potentially hazardous working conditions or unsafe employee activities
- Manage EHS compliance issues for the Operations division to maintain the safety and health of field employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local Safety procedures, EHS standards, and company policies
- Monitor processes at all facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA guidelines and the elimination of incidents
- Investigate all safety incidents, near misses, workers compensation issues and property damage
- Perform in-house training regarding site EHS and EHS-related regulations
- Write site-specific health and safety plans and job-specific JSAs
- Perform site safety audits on a regular basis
- Conduct new hire EHS orientations and onboarding
- Proactively seek new ways to improve overall safety performance and employee well-being in the field
- Assist management in generating new safety policies and procedures
- Communicate clearly and interactively with employees
- Develop and maintain Safety related organizational communications
- Monitor spending against the departmental budget
- Identify trends that may impact objectives and/or operational resources and advise accordingly
- Work cooperatively as a team member, leader, and with all employees
- Uphold the culture and philosophies of the organization

Knowledge and Skills:
- Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office Suite products
- Must have basic computer operation knowledge
- Proficiency in solving mathematical problems: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to make immediate decisions regarding safety practices and system operational functions
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma (or equivalent), required; related experience will be considered in lieu of a diploma
- Three to five years experience in a safety-related role, or OSHA certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- First Aid/AED/CPR certified is preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle records check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
