Job Description

Purpose:

The Field Operations Technician IT will primarily provide on-location end user support during core business hours. This position will follow and document procedure and manage incidents and tasks to resolution and/or escalate to the Field Ops Tech Sr IT. This position is responsible for keeping current on technologies in order to provide effective support for the desktop environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Manageme

  • Provide on-site or remote desktop support for end users’ workstations and related equipment for office and remote workers

  • Configure and deploy workstations and printers

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot standard software issues

  • Troubleshoot and resolve standard technical problems; document, track and monitor incidents and work orders; and provide timely feedback to customers during and upon resolution

  • Follow all policies, processes, and procedures

  • Maintain inventory of assets

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-year college/technical degree in computer related field or 1 year work experience in computer service related position; HS diploma or GED is required

  • Experience with desktop hardware, operating system software, and desktop productivity applications (Active Directory, Office 365, etc.)

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PBM/health care environment experience

  • IT Customer Service experience

  • Ticket tracking system experience

Minimum Physical Job Requirements :

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, over-time, and shifts outside of Prime’s core hours.

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to a supervisor or manager in the IT department.

Potential pay for this position ranges from $26.20 - $39.38 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
