A Day in the Life
As (Senior) Sales Representative Market Development (m/w/d) you are responsible for maintaining and developing the Micra and Tyrx business with existing and new customers in the region. It will be your job to meet (or preferably exceed) financial and non-financial targets in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market. In this commercial position you will fulfill several tasks in the field of sales execution, ranging from market analyses and developing sales and market development strategies. You will identify and address all key decision makers, opinion leaders and referrals, extend existing accounts and develop entirely new ones. Building strong and lasting business relationships is another important task. We expect from you to identify the Key Players, work with accounts managers on upcoming tenders, identify market trends and gather competitor’s information. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to train and educate relevant hospital staff, and to maintain and acquire knowledge on new service models, care pathways, VBHC (Value-based health care) principles and new business models.

This is a remote position (home office) with the need to travel 2-3 days a week across Germany.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
To grow Medtronic Leadless pacing business as well as the Infection Control business through the sales of the Micra leadless pacemaker and TYRX™ Antibacterial Envelopes by working closely with the CRM field sales organization.
Additionally, assist with selling to implanting physicians and hospital administration.
Collaborate effectively with the CRM field team to implement the Micra and Tyrx strategies and ensure flawless execution with our customers.
Dedicated strategic account plans for the both businesses integrated in the overall CRM strategy
Take an active role in opening new accounts
Raise referral, society & political awareness and patients’ groups
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor / master’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology
Track record in project management and market development
Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the medical equipment industry
Experience in; consultative selling; implementation of VBHC solutions is a benefit.
Thorough knowledge of the Cardio-Vascular, preferably the cardiac rhythm marketplace experience is a benefit.
Fluency in English and German
Knowledge of reimbursement systems along with Lean and process experience would be an asset.
