We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Outreach Specialist based in Durham, North Carolina. This role primarily involves initiating contact with healthcare providers for medical record collections in the healthcare industry. The candidate will be expected to perform tasks related to customer service, reporting, training, and maintaining medical records.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate phone and email requests for medical records from healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth process of collection

• Utilize computerized systems to track and report on medical record requests and receipts

• Review correspondences and inquiries from health information departments, determining needs and expediting the process of collecting medical records

• Extract provider request listings from large spreadsheet files and format them for reporting and delivery

• Use standardized computer-based storage methods to store and retrieve medical records

• Ensure the confidentiality of all medical records is maintained at all times

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on the status of the accounts

• Maintain productivity standards in all tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy

• Use electronic medical records (EMR) systems as necessary for the role

• Employ strong organizational skills in managing and maintaining customer records.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Customer Service

• Proficiency in Reporting and creating Spreadsheets

• Familiarity with Training methods and Review processes

• Understanding of Medical Coverage and Health Care systems

• Knowledge of Hiring and Collection Processes

• Ability to handle Financial Notes and Receipts

• Experience with Medical Records Storage and Confidentiality practices

• Proficiency in using Charts and Graphs

• Familiarity with EMR - Electronic Medical Records is a plus

• Adherence to Productivity Standards

• Strong Organizational skills
