Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Durham, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the retail industry, based in the vibrant city of Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be a key player in maintaining customer satisfaction and driving sales through efficient handling of customer interactions and processing of customer applications.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound and outbound customer communication with professionalism and courtesy

• Efficiently process customer credit applications to support sales activities

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records in the company database

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner, demonstrating a customer-first approach

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions to address issues or discrepancies

• Utilize exceptional multitasking skills to handle multiple customer service tasks concurrently

• Demonstrate strong data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Use your customer service skills to promote a positive image of the company

• Leverage your inside sales experience to convert customer inquiries into sales

• Maintain a positive attitude and high energy in all customer interactions. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role within the retail industry

• Proven skills in customer service, including the ability to handle complex customer queries and complaints

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of customers

• Strong problem-solving skills, with a solution-focused approach to customer issues

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively

• Solid understanding of retail operations and best practices

• High level of professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business

• Basic computer skills, with experience using point-of-sale systems and other retail software

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
