Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Technician is tasked with maintaining the condition of the manufacturing equipment. This includes repairing and/or replacing failed components and performing preventative maintenance measures when applicable. The technician will also develop short and/or long-term repairs aimed at improving quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include recording maintenance repair activities in a computer-based maintenance management system, daily interactions with PLCs, CNCs, and Multi-Access Robots, using basic test equipment such as multi-meters, and maintaining machinery like lathes, mills, and automated assembly lines. The role requires a fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic schematics, as well as mechanical drawings to solve problems efficiently. The technician will also strive to reduce downtime by performing countermeasures aimed at root cause analysis.

Hard Skills

  • Experience with PLCs, CNCs, and Multi-Access Robots

  • Proficiency in using basic test equipment such as multi-meters

  • Repair and maintenance of machinery such as lathes, mills, welding and brazing equipment

  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings

Work Environment

The work environment is a climate-controlled facility, containing robotics, brazers, CNC machines, welders, conveyors, and pumps. The technician will be part of a team of approximately 150 technicians
