Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Strategic Delivery Senior Manager - Strategy in Durant, Oklahoma

Onsite/ Monday-Friday/ 8:00AM - 4:30PM

This position will support Commerce

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for delivering strategic goals and continuous improvement initiatives with the administration and execution of strategic plans to support the tribe in achieving organizational goals. You will report to the Director of Strategy.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Partner with leadership and project stakeholders to oversee the planning, management, execution and tracking of strategic objectives and develop comprehensive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the goals of the Choctaw Nation.

  2. Manage projects concurrently and demonstrate excellent project management skills by prioritizing tasks, and creating timelines.

  3. Ensure project quality, help develop recommendations, review deliverables, and ensure successful implementation; quality assurance practices, and other methodologies to lead process improvements, optimize operational efficiencies, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the organization.

  4. Provide support in planning our growth initiatives; Participate in evaluation of organizational priorities; gain understanding of our strategic goals to support project selection.

  5. Assess organizational performance and determine root cause(s) of complex issues. Identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent achieving goals.

  6. Develop detailed action plans to ensure successful implementation of strategic objectives and continuous improvement initiatives; Revise to meet changing requirements.

  7. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of continuous improvement projects and strategies to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within scope.

  8. Maintain relationships with leadership and project stakeholders to drive support, buy-in, and transparency; encourage engagement and participation in strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.

  9. Facilitate and guide cross-functional teams to analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, and create performance measures to deliver strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.

  10. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business organizational management or related field and five [5] years of experience in a business environment solving complex operational problems, OR nine [9] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / LEAN certification, or ability to acquire in first 90 days.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Windows

  • Able to lead and execute complex strategic and continuous improvement projects. Strong project management skills.

  • Able to identify waste and develop specific proposals/execution plans for strategic and continuous improvement projects.

  • Leadership, facilitation, and communication skills; ability to influence others and promote collaboration among team members.

  • Understand P&L statement and how his/her actions impact and improve.

  • Strong analytic skills. Quickly understands business issues and challenges facing the company.
