City Of Durango Custodian in Durango, Colorado
Position: Custodian
Duties: Perform custodial duties in assigned buildings, including but not limited to: Vacuuming and shampooing carpets Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms Emptying and cleaning trash bins Washing windows and walls Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures Sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and stairs Replenishing supplies Moving office furniture Keeping outdoor areas, including sidewalks and parking lots, free of litter and debris Gather trash and recyclables and transport them to receptacles. Report any maintenance issues throughout the facility and grounds. Assist with maintenance and repairs. Engage with the public to provide or exchange information.
Requirements: Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, including carpet cleaning, maintenance, and stain removal.
Other Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Equivalent to completion of high school or GED. Valid state driver s license. Three months of custodial or building maintenance experience. This position requires a clear fingerprint check to access secure buildings.
Wage: $19.70 Hourly
Shifts: Full-time, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm.
