City Of Durango Custodian-Facilities in Durango, Colorado
POSITION: Custodian-Facilities
DUTIES: * Perform custodial duties in assigned buildings, including but not limited to: * Vacuuming and shampooing carpets * Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms * Emptying and cleaning trash bins * Washing windows and walls * Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures * Sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and stairs * Replenishing supplies * Moving office furniture * Keeping outdoor areas, including sidewalks and parking lots, free of litter and debris * Gather trash and recyclables and transport them to receptacles. * Report any maintenance issues throughout the facility and grounds. * Assist with maintenance and repairs. * Engage with the public to provide or exchange information.
REQUIREMENTS: * Equivalent to completion of high school or GED. * Valid state driver s license. * Three months of custodial or building maintenance experience. * Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, including carpet cleaning, maintenance, and stain removal. * Ability to work evening and weekend shifts as needed. *This position requires a clear fingerprint check to access secure buildings.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
WAGE: $19.70 / Hour
SHIFTS: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
