Laborer
Duties: Duties: Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Use a grade rod. Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rake Other duties assigned by supervisor.
Skills: Will train but must be willing to do physical labor. Construction experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Other requirements: Have a valid driver's license and own transportation to work. Maybe driving a company vehicle to transport tools and co-workers. CO flagging certificate is a plus. Be at least 18 years old. Must be able to pass pre employment drug/alcohol test and random testing during employment. Be able to pass a background check. "Will consider hiring felons depending on the offense"
Wage: $18-$20 an hour. Wage will be determined by experience and for the right candidate that shows an interest in learning other jobs there is the possibility of moving up and earning higher wages.
Shift: Full time seasonal employment with the possibility to be rehired next season. Mon-Thur starting at 7am. Some weekend hours if there is a project that has a deadline to be completed.
Jobsite: La Plata & Montezuma Counties
Benefits: Sick leave & 3 day weekends when possible. Major Holidays off.
